Lead Systems Administrator

As a Lead Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the infrastructure that powers our Unreal Engine development. You’ll oversee server architecture, CI/CD pipelines, source control management, and cloud-based services to ensure seamless collaboration and peak performance. Your expertise in automation, security, and scalability will support our development team in building high-performance games and tools. Responsibilities
- Managing sysadmin operations team - 8+ engineers
- Managing the IT ticketing system, ensuring all tickets are assigned and tracked under SLA
- Manage the Office 365 environment, ensuring optimal setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting practices.
- Utilise Intune for mobile device management and application deployment across the organization
- Onboarding and guiding new hires
- Training the sysadmin team on IT infrastructure and systems
- Manage and administer the local and global infrastructure
- Develop best practices and ensure documentation is up to date
- Provide expert technical support, guidance and training to team members and end-users
- Work closely with the IT management team on managing the IT Roadmap
- Participate in change management workflow
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting server availability
- Manage backup and storage infrastructure
- Manage and maintain monitoring to ensure systems uptime and reliability
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades and migrations
- Ensure adherence to IT security standards and best practices
Requirements
- Experience with ITSM
- Knowledge of Windows Systems (Client and Server)
- Experienced in Cloud infrastructure AWS/AZURE
- Experience with Intune deployment
- Troubleshooting skills
- Experience managing a virtualized infrastructure
- Experience with Google Workplace, Office 365, and Atlassian Suite
- Understanding of networking concepts (WAN,LAN,TCP/IP,VPN,VLAN)
- Working hours flexibility around infrastructure upgrades and migrations
Nice to have
- Linux/OpenStack experience
- Storage and backup concepts
- Scripting languages (PHP, Javascript, SQL, Python, PowerShell, and Bash)
- Background in large-scale migration projects and operating system upgrades
- Experience in multi-site engineer team management
